Cryer Sandham Limited are located in Russell Street, Reading. We have free on site parking for visitors . Our office hours are normally from 8.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. By arrangement we are available for meetings outside these hours as well as weekends.
The current practice was formed on 1 May 2000 when David Hitchins merged his practice with that of Jonathan Cryer.
David Hitchins has been in practice for over 40 years and has gained considerable experience in dealing with all aspects of accounting and taxation for individuals and partnerships as well as limited companies, large and small, over that time. Although now semi retired David still gives the benefit of his considerable experience and expertise by providing consultancy services to the practice. He continues to devote a lot of his spare time to his involvement in charity work through Lions Clubs International at local, national and European levels.
Jonathan started his training as a chartered accountant in 1988 whilst working for a local firm of accountants in Maidenhead. Jonathan qualified in December 1992 and continued to gain experience whilst holding senior positions in working for accountancy firms in the Thames Valley area. In June 1998 Jonathan left employment to form his own practice, Cryer & Co.
Due to the rapid growth enjoyed by the partnership the business was incorporated on 1 November 2002.
In June 2004 David Hitchins retired from the business but continues to provide consultancy services and assistance on a regular basis. Brian Sandham ACA joined the company in the same month.
Brian brought with him a wealth of experience in accounts preparation and audit, VAT, personal and corporate tax compliance, as well as a wide ranging knowledge and understanding of computer based systems in use by clients as an aid to their record keeping and business development.
The core practice is now in its fifth decade. We currently have a varied and growing client base. The services provided by us range from the completion of annual personal tax returns through to preparation of accounts and the more specialised areas of audit for several charities.
